The Baby Plan

The Baby plan Covers your sessions fees for three sessions in the first two years of your child’s life. Those sessions are a Mid-year/sitter session, a First Birthday Session, and a Family Session to take place any time between your child’s first and second birthday. The Plan covers all the booking fees of those sessions and puts you on a schedule to receive email reminders of what signs to look out for and when it’s time to book. You simply purchase your preferred package from each session.

  • Mid- Year Sitting Session

Mid-Year or a Sitter session is the perfect time to photograph your child again after their newborn session. They change SO Fast in that first year you won’t believe it till you look back at the pictures. Mid-Years are some of my favorite sessions because they are still chubby babies with toothless grins but now they can sit up independently and are much more interactive and love being able to see the world around them. It’s the perfect time to capture them playing with their feet, sitting up and tummy poses. These sessions generally take place between 6-9 months of age once your child has truly mastered sitting on their own and last about 45-60 minutes.

  • 1st Birthday Cake Smash Session

Congratulations Mama & Papa, You’ve made it through the first year of parenthood! First birthdays aren’t just a celebration of our little babies turinging into toddlers but a celebration of the completion of the first of many years of parenting. Mom & Dad are welcome to grab a few family images with their little one during their first birthday shoot. The Majority of the session will focus on their baby and may include a cake smash if you choose. At this time I require client’s to bring their own pre-ordered custom cakes, if they choose this option, I can advise you on colors and styles. If you choose to forgo the cake smash the session length is still the same 45-60 minutes, I of course allow outfit changes during that time. I generally suggest no more than 2-3 outfits as children this age can sometimes get annoyed with too many wardrobe changes.

  • Family Session

By now you have a full blown toddler on your hands, they are silly, fun, and full of life. This is one of the best times for a family portrait session. Your little one is truly out of the baby stage and showing more and more personality everyday. It’s because of these little personalities that I enjoy photographing family sessions for this age range, we can get so many fun playful and sometimes on the go images during these sessions. Most of my Family session clients choose to invest in custom wall art or albums from these sessions to showcase all the fun images we’ve created.

FAQs

How many sessions are included?

The Baby plan includes three sessions in the first 2 years of your child’s life.

  • Mid-Year Sitter Session

  • First Birthday / Cake Smash

  • Family Session in Year two

How will I Purchase my Portraits?

As with all my session I provide my clients with a custom one on one experience known as a View and Order Call. This is a Video conference where you will see your images and I will guide you through the process of ordering and choosing the elements such as Framing or album covers.

Can other family members join in on these sessions?

Ideally the focus for the Mid-year and 1st Birthday session is the development and growth of the baby, but I don’t mind grabbing a quick family photo at the beginning of either. They are not meant to be used as updates for siblings though, which is what the year two family session is for.

What does “Year Two” mean in regard to the family session?

All year two means is the session takes place in your child’s second year, between their 1st and second birthday. This session can be scheduled for Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, as long as it’s before your child’s 2nd birthday.

Is the Mid-year a 6 month session?

The answer to that depends fully on your child’s abilities. I refer to the Mid-year session also a Sitter Session, meaning the baby can fully sit on their own without any assistance. A great test for this is if your baby can sit up and laugh without falling over. If we schedule the Mid-year session too early it’s likely we may not get the expressions we would prefer, as the baby is concentrating so hard on staying upright they won’t give us any smiles at all. Once they have effortlessly mastered this skill is the perfect time to photograph this session. Every child is different and this can happen anytime between 6-9 months of age.
